UDMR Congress/Kelemen: UDMR is a bridge between Romania and Hungary
In a speech to the convention of the congress of the Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR), UDMR national leader Kelemen Hunor said that UDMR is a bridge between Romania and Hungary.
'Today we open a new chapter, to talk about the future, about our community, about the changes that lie ahead of us and the tasks we have. It is an honour that the prime ministers of both countries are present at our congress. For 35 years, UDMR has set to be a bridge, a bridge between Romania and Hungary, which connects not only politics, but also peoples, the two nations, communities. This is an important message for the entire Hungarian community in Transylvania,' said Kelemen.
He thanked the participants, especially the prime ministers of the two countries, Hungary and Romania, Viktor Orban and Ilie Bolojan.
The 17th convention of the UDMR congress began at Jucu Herghelie, Cluj County, on Friday in the presence of Romania's PM Bolojan and Hungary's Orban.
The event takes place in the presence of about 1,000 participants, including national leader of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) Sorin Grindeanu, and Mayor of Cluj-Napoca Emil Boc, who accompanied Bolojan on arrival.
