ExpoApa 2025 brings together experts, authorities, solution providers from around the world in Bucharest
The Romanian Water Association (ARA) is organizing the 'Danube-Eastern Europe' Regional Water Forum and the ExpoApa international trade fair at Romexpo from June 23 to 25.
Now at its 25th anniversary edition, the event is the most important platform in Romania dedicated to the exchange of ideas, best practices, and solutions applied in the field of water supply, sewerage, and wastewater treatment, according to a press release of the organizers.
Over the course of three days, Bucharest becomes the focal point for professional dialogue in the field, bringing together public authorities, international experts, operators, technology providers, researchers, and academics from Romania and abroad.
The Forum's agenda reflects the sector's current priorities, from the digitalization of water services, energy efficiency, and the circular economy in urban infrastructure to climate resilience and resource protection. The program includes technical and scientific presentations, applied workshops, debates, and round tables, with the participation of a significant number of experts and decision-makers from across the region.
Among the notable participants in this edition is the Executive Vice-President of the European Commission, Roxana Minzatu, who will open the Forum and take part in the discussions at the round table 'Skills4Water - Skills for the Future,' a debate dedicated to the challenges related to professional training and qualified human resources in the water sector.
The second day will be opened by Jessika Roswall, Commissioner for Environment, Water Resilience, and a Competitive Circular Economy at the European Commission, who will also chair and moderate the round table discussion on 'Water Resilience in Eastern Europe.'
The high-level dialogue will address issues related to adapting infrastructure to new climate conditions, strengthening regional cooperation, and promoting a sustainable development model for the sector, according to the organizers.
At the same time, the ExpoApa trade show brings together the most relevant companies and technologies in the field. Over 100 exhibitors, including international suppliers of solutions for water loss detection, advanced wastewater treatment, real-time monitoring, and process automation, will present equipment, applications, and demonstration projects. The exhibition also includes an outdoor technical area for large equipment and operational demonstrations.
