Drone crash in Galati/President Dan: I note irresponsibility of certain Romanian political leaders trying to excuse Russia
President Nicusor Dan said on Friday that he noted the 'irresponsibility' of certain Romanian political leaders and opinion leaders who are trying to excuse Russia for the incident in which a military drone crashed in Galati.
'I want to note the irresponsibility of certain Romanian political leaders and opinion leaders who are trying to excuse Russia for this incident. And now Romanian citizens can see who is genuinely pro-Western and who is only pretending to be pro-Western,' Nicusor Dan said after the meeting of the Supreme Council for National Defence (CSAT).
He underlined that the incident in Galati involved a drone 'launched from Russia.'
'We had a Russian drone, launched from Russia, we know its trajectory, we know where it passed through Ukraine, we know where it entered Romania. It was part of a swarm of 43 Russian drones, only one of which reached Romanian territory,' the head of state explained.
Nicusor Dan highlighted that there is Euro-Atlantic solidarity and unity.
'I want to thank our partners for their solidarity, expressed both individually and within multilateral frameworks - our partners in the European Union and our partners in NATO.
