PresidentialElection2025/Expert Forum launches votcorect.ro platform

Expert Forum (EFOR) announced on Monday the launch of the votcorect.ro platform for the presidential election in May.
The goal is to provide information to all those interested in the organisation and conduct of the electoral process and to allow them to submit complaints regarding irregularities, according to a press release EFOR sent to AGERPRES.
The 'Vot Corect' platform has been available to voters, electoral candidates and journalists since 2016.
'Those interested can find information on topics such as: the rules for voting on election days, voting abroad, how to vote by mail, or how to request a special ballot box. The platform also covers other stages of the electoral process and answers questions such as: what are the responsibilities of relevant institutions, how is the electoral campaign conducted and financed, what are the rules for promotion before the campaign, how to file complaints regarding legal violations, or how to collect supporting signatures,' the press release reads.
The platform also includes templates for requests and complaints, as well as the necessary information for exercising the right to vote.
'All this information is presented in an accessible and concise manner. The information will be updated as new legislative norms relevant to the presidential election are published,' the quoted source mentions.
The platform features an interactive component. EFOR responds to all questions, complaints and clarifications related to elections through votcorect.ro. In addition, the organisation will provide electoral assistance and advice to voters whose rights are violated.
On election days, the platform will be supplemented by a call centre for electoral assistance - 0800 460 002 for Romania and 0318.222.800 for abroad.
The platform is also used for registering independent electoral observers. The 'Vot Corect' Coalition, consisting of EFOR, the Centre for Civic Resources, the Civic Association, the Centre for the Study of Democracy, Radautiul Civic, the Electoral Observer and Code for Romania, has already launched the registration for the May elections, which can be done exclusively by filling out the form available at observatori.votcorect.ro.
'Observers will be present at polling stations in the country and abroad from opening until the completion of the minutes, to ensure the correctness of the election process, but also to collect data that will contribute to the development of recommendations for improving the electoral process,' the organisation said.
