PresidentialElections2025/Voter turnout stands at 37.51 pct as of 2:00 PM
As many as 6,746,996 Romanian citizens cast their ballot in the second round of the presidential elections by 2:00 PM on Sunday, accounting for 37.51% of the total number of voters on the electoral lists, according to data provided in real time by the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP).
As many as 4,408,497 people voted in urban areas, and 2,338,499 in the rural areas.
Of them, 63,562 voters used the mobile ballot box.
Of the 6,746,996 who voted by 2:00 PM, 5,636,917 cast their votes in the country, or 31.34%, and 1,110,079 abroad, respectively 1,106,940 on additional lists and 3,139 by mail. Voting in the diaspora started on Friday (7:00 AM,. local time) and ends on Sunday, 9:00 PM (Romania time).
Higher voter turnout was registered in the following counties.
* Ilfov - 43.70%;
* Cluj - 37.76%;
* Arges - 36.39%;
* Prahova - 36.19%;
* Brasov - 35.78%.
Lower voter turnout was recorded in the following counties:
* Vaslui - 21,87%;
* Satu Mare - 22.94%;
* Caras-Severin - 24.77%;
* Maramures - 25.13%;
* Bistrita-Nasaud - 25.75%.
In Bucharest, voter turnout stands at 34.80%, the situation by sectors being as follows:
* Sector 1 - 40.00%;
* Sector 2 - 36.02%;
* Sector 3 - 29.10%;
* Sector 4 - 35.82%;
* Sector 5 - 32.70%;
* Sector 6 - 38.82%.
