The park in the Moneasa resort to be modernised with European funds
The park in the Moneasa resort will be modernised with European funding of approximately 1.9 million euros in the next two years, which would increase the tourist potential, the local administration believes.
The mayor of Moneasa rural town, Doru Miron, told AGERPRES on Friday that the funding has been approved and the technical project is in progress.
'This means that the works will begin next year at the latest, and in about two years we will have an attractive park, a place of relaxation for tourists and locals. Moneasa has a very high tourist potential, and through this project we are taking a step towards transforming the resort to become increasingly sought after for spa tourism, ecotourism and relaxation,' said the mayor.
The Moneasa Town Hall was informed on Thursday by the West Regional Development Agency that the project, worth approximately 1.9 million euros, has been selected for financing. The signing of the contract will take place, however, in a few months, after the technical project is completed.
The Moneasa resort, which has approximately 1,500 accommodation places in hotels and guesthouses, is appreciated for its bicarbonated, calcium, magnesium and sodium thermal waters, considered beneficial in the treatment of diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system, the locomotor system, for the treatment of rheumatism and some gynecological diseases.
