Andrew Tate, left without driver's license after being caught driving at 196 km/h
Controversial influencer Andrew Tate was left without his driver's license for a period of four months, after he was caught by police in Vâlcea driving at a speed of 196 km/h, on a section of National Road 7, where the maximum limit is 50 km/h.
According to representatives of the Valcea County Police Inspectorate, Tate was spotted by traffic agents in the municipality of Ramnicu Valcea, during an action to prevent road accidents caused by excessive speed.
'The vehicle was recorded by the radar device traveling at 146 km/h over the legal limit allowed on that road sector. A 38-year-old foreign citizen, residing in Brasov, was at the wheel,' informed representatives of the Valcea Police.
In addition to the suspension of the right to drive for 120 days, the British-American citizen, who is currently under judicial monitoring in Romania, was also fined 1,822 RON, according to the provisions of GEO 195/2002 regarding traffic on public roads.
'We remind you that excessive speed is one of the main causes of serious road accidents. Respect the legal speed limits and drive with caution,' the representatives of the Valcea County Police Inspectorate said.
