ARTEXIM manager Cristina Uruc becomes the new president of the European Association of Artist Managers
ARTEXIM manager Cristina Uruc has been unanimously elected as the new president of the European Association of Artist Managers (AEAA).
According to a press release sent by ARTEXIM to AGERPRES on Tuesday, the election was held during the General Assembly that took place in Istanbul at the beginning of May.
'After 31 years of ARTEXIM's membership of the European Association of Artist Managers, I am honoured that the General Assembly entrusts me the position of president of the AEAA. I believe that my dual perspective, both as an impresario and as an organizer of one of the largest classical music festivals in the world, can bring significant contributions in achieving our common goals. I am committed to continue the significant work that Reda Sidi Boumedine, Giovanna Losco and the former Boards have done for the organization, by building stronger collaborations, encouraging new partnerships across Europe and promoting greater inclusion and representation within our association,' said Uruc, quoted in the press release.
Cristina Uruc succeeds Reda Sidi Boumedine (president of AEAA from 2019 to 2025), who contributed to the strengthening of the role of the AEAA on the European cultural scene. The association has also undergone a rebranding process, launching a new logo and a redesigned website in 2024, reflecting its ongoing commitment to innovation, visibility and service to its members across Europe.
