Cotroceni consultations/ Nicusor Dan: The variant that seems to be taking shape - a minority political government
The option that seems to be taking shape after Tuesday's consultations at Cotroceni is that of a minority government, and the process of forming a new government must be 'accelerated', Nicusor Dan said on Tuesday.
'Today we had consultations with the parliamentary parties and groups to identify a solution to unblock the political crisis we are in. The option that seems to be taking shape is that of a minority political government, which would be based on a previously agreed parliamentary support agreement', the head of state wrote on X.
He invites the parliamentary parties to start discussions for the signing of this parliamentary agreement and, subsequently, to make proposals for the minority government formula, supported in accordance with this agreement.
'The entire process must proceed at an accelerated pace, because the urgency of installing a functional and stable government is paramount,' the president said.
The new consultations at Cotroceni took place after the government proposed by Adrian Vestea failed to pass a vote in Parliament on Monday.
