President Dan meets ECHR President; Romania pledges full implementation of Court's judgments
President Nicusor Dan held a meeting on Wednesday with the President of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), Mattias Guyomar, during which he expressed Romania's commitment to fully implement the Court's judgments.
'Today we had an excellent meeting with the President of the European Court of Human Rights, Mattias Guyomar. We reaffirmed Romania's firm support for the system of the European Convention on Human Rights and for the essential role of the Court in protecting fundamental rights, democracy, and the rule of law. Romania remains committed to the full implementation of the Court's judgments and to strengthening democratic resilience in an increasingly complex geopolitical context,' according to the President's post on X.
