Night of Museums 2025, at its 21st edition on Saturday: exhibitions, concerts, movie screenings, recitals, workshops

More than 75 museums, bringing together 210 venues from all over the country, will participate on Saturday in the 21st edition of the Night of Museums 2025, with the Ministry of Culture officially supporting the event for the first time.
An impressive number of 500 specialists in the field of heritage and museum education will organize 677 activities aimed at all categories of the public, from the youngest visitors to the mature public, passionate about history, art, science and tradition.
In Bucharest, the National Museum of Art of Romania joins the 2025 edition of the Night of Museums with a special program, offering access to all five permanent galleries and historical spaces located in the headquarters in Calea Victoriei 49-53.
From 11:00 to 22:00 (last entrance at 21:00), the Gallery of Old Romanian Art, the Gallery of Modern Romanian Art, the Gallery of European Art, the Gallery of Oriental Art and the Gallery of European Decorative Art will be open.
The public can also visit the Royal Dining Room, the Voivodes' Stairs and the Throne Hall of the former Royal Palace.
On Saturday, the related museums - the Museum of Art Collections, Theodor Pallady Museum and the K.H. Zambaccian Museum - will be closed.

Bucharest City Hall will open its doors to the general public on Saturday, the European Night of Museums, from 18:00-24:00, with free admission, guided tours, exhibitions and live music.
Guided tours will start at 18:00, at 15-minute intervals, and the last entrance will be at 23:30.

The exhibition program of the 'Open City Hall' event is complemented by the project 'Reducing the seismic vulnerability of the built environment - a pressing partnership for the protection of life, cultural heritage and society', carried out by the Municipal Administration for Building Seismic Risk Consolidation. The exhibition documents, through images, plans and drawings, the restoration and consolidation of buildings that are part of the city's architectural heritage, emphasizing the importance of correct and sustainable interventions for their preservation in the face of seismic risks.
The atmosphere in the inner courtyard of the Palace will be entertained by musical moments offered by the band Byron, one of the most appreciated alternative rock bands on the local scene. Dan Byron (vocals, guitar, flute), Sergiu '6' Mitrofan (keyboards, guitar, vocals), Dany Serrano (guitar), Laszlo Demeter (bass) and Andrei Ilie (drums) will offer the audience 'electrifying moments with an eclectic sound, from progressive rock to jazz influences'.
Another highlight of the evening will be the participatory installation 'Bucharest ACUM', which invites the inhabitants and visitors of the Capital to become 'active actors in shaping the future of the city'.

At the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant, on the European Night of Museums, visitors are expected, between 18:00 - 20:00 (entry time of the last visitor) to visit the permanent exhibition 'Christian Law', where 'each room speaks about the ritual of beliefs and the beauty of Romanian art'.
Six additional temporary exhibitions will be open: 'Portret/Atelier. Ana Maria Ariciu', at the The new Gallery Hall, 'Borders and Garments', at the Sala Tancred Banateanu,'Stela's Stories', at the Acquarium Hall, 'Beyond yesterday. Anthropological journey in the Balkans in the footsteps of the Manakia brothers in 1900', in the Media Hall, 'Je suis Mahala' - Eugen Raportoru's personal exhibition at MNTRplusC (in the presence of the artist), which will be open until 23.00.
At the Holy Saints Constantine and Helen Fair, craftsmen from all parts of the country will bring to the museum's courtyard objects that have been skillfully crafted or restored over the winter: towels, garments, traditional blouses 'ii' from Bucovina, Mehedinti or Breaza, veils, vests embroidered with silk thread, buckles, carpets from Oltenia, icons, jugs and pitchers, wooden household objects.

Temporary exhibitions, nocturnal insect collection activities and bat spotting in the museum courtyard, movie screenings offered by Digi World, artistic moments are among the proposals of the National Museum of Natural History Grigore Antipa for the Night of Museums event.
The visitors are invited to admire the temporary exhibition ''#2 Albania, pages from nature!', recently opened at the Antipa Museum, and between 17:00 - 19:00 they will be able to enjoy artistic moments offered by two choirs of the Marin Preda Theoretical High School.
Between 17:00 and 23:00, in front of the museum, the astROmania team will offer guests the opportunity to observe the Sun and the stars of the night through the telescopes provided and learn about the meteorites.
From 21:30 until 22:30 guests are invited in the courtyard of the museum to participate in the entomological collection of nocturnal insects with the help of light sources, under the coordination of the museum specialists.
Visitors will learn from the museum researchers more information and curiosities about bats - how the little creatures communicate and how they can be intercepted with special equipment - in a series of activities in the museum courtyard between 21:30 and 22:30.
