New RO-ALERT message in Tulcea County amid war in Ukraine

Imagine din galeria Agerpres

The population of the northern area of Tulcea County was alerted again, during the night from Wednesday to Thursday, by the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), amid the war in Ukraine.

In the RO-ALERT message sent around 4:00 AM, the population was informed about the possibility of objects falling from the airspace and was urged to seek shelter. According to the message, the alert lasted 90 minutes.

A similar message was also sent during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, after Russia attacked Ukraine's port infrastructure.

According to the protocols of the Ministry of National Defence, RO-ALERT messages are sent by IGSU after the state's surveillance systems detect the movement of drones in Ukrainian airspace along a route approaching Romania. Military aircraft monitor the air situation at the Romanian-Ukrainian border, and allied structures are informed about the situations resulting from attacks.
