Ionut Stroe: Already many accusations that George Simion would be linked to Russian intelligence

National Liberal Party (PNL) Spokesman Ionut Stroe said on Saturday that there are "many accusations" that the Alliance for Romanians' Union (AUR) leader George Simion "would have links with the Russian intelligence services."
"There have already been many accusations that George Simion, the leader of the AUR, would be linked to the Russian intelligence services. Only in the last week two officials have said this with subject and predicate: a former defence minister of the Republic of Moldova and an agent of the Ukrainian intelligence services. George Simion is deafeningly silent on the subject, and his silence sounds more like guilt. We are beginning to see that behind a so-called "sovereignism" there is only a big Russian-tinge hoax," Stroe wrote on Facebook.
According to him, the AUR leader "is banned" from entering Ukraine and Moldova.
"Moreover, we have learned that George Simion is banned from entering Ukraine, not just Moldova. Let's explain better: two countries, insistently targeted by Russia's actions, have decided that George Simion is persona non-grata. Why? Why doesn't he tell us openly, as leader of a parliamentary party? We have all noticed that George Simion is vocal in Romania only on issues that favour Russian interests. Maybe now we understand better why, for example, at the beginning of Russia's aggression in Ukraine, the same George Simion took a long time to say something. It's hard to call yourself pro-European in Romania, when a little further across the border, in Moldova and Ukraine, others see you just as a pro-Russian," wrote the Liberal.
