The only gold refinery in Romania to deliver gold bars worth 10 M euros in 2025

The only gold refinery in Romania, Rafinor, will deliver in 2025 to the Magnor holding, which also has Romanian shareholders, investment gold bars worth 10 million euros, following a strategic partnership concluded between the two companies, according to a press release from Rafinor sent to AGERPRES on Monday.
The strategic partnership aims to facilitate the acquisition of investment gold directly from Romania.
Thus, the partnership between the two companies with Romanian shareholders brings significant benefits for investors and all those interested in investment gold as a safe-haven asset. The acquisition of gold directly from Romania means more transparency in transactions, reduced costs and increased security for buyers. In addition, it supports the local economy and promotes the development of a solid precious metals industrial sector in Romania.
'Rafinor offers Romanians the opportunity to invest locally, with the guarantee of a premium product, thus supporting the circulation of the precious metal in the national economy. Through Magnor, Rafinor has started distributing the first gold bars produced in Romania,' said Claudiu Diaconu, CEO and majority shareholder of the Romanian precious metals refinery, in a statement.
Rafinor will supply its main retailer with 24K investment gold bars, with weights starting from 2.5 g and up to 50 g, the latter being the most requested by investors.
The majority shareholder of the leader in the precious metals (gold and silver) processing industry in Romania emphasises that significant investments have been made not only in modern technology, but also in employee training. The Rafinor team benefits from continuous training alongside technical specialists from Turkey and Italy, two of the most important international centres in the field of precious metals processing.
At the same time, Rafinor is focusing on attracting new corporate clients who want to sell used gold, silver, platinum and palladium to the refinery, which can no longer be put into circulation by end consumers.
Rafinor is the first and only refinery in Romania specialized in gold, with a refining capacity exceeding two tonnes of gold per year. Leader of the precious metals industry in Romania, the Romanian company is revitalizing an activity with a national tradition and at the same time modernising it by equipping its refining lines with state-of-the-art technologies.
2025 is the year in which the company starts processing silver, especially for industrial use. AGERPRES (RO - writing by: Oana Tilica, EN - writing by: Cristina Zaharia)
