'Romanian Crown, 160 Years' medal to be launched on Tuesday at Elisabeta Palace
Her Majesty Margareta will host on Tuesday, at the Elisabeta Palace, the launch of the anniversary medal 'Romanian Crown, 160 Years' produced by the State Mint.
At the event, which will begin at 16:00, Prince Radu and the Director General of the State Mint, Octavian Schen, will deliver speeches, the Royal House informed on Monday.
Princess Sophie, members of the Diplomatic Corps, representatives of state institutions, the Romanian Academy, the Romanian Orthodox Church and figures from civil society will attend the event.

The anniversary medal 'Romanian Crown, 160 Years,' a special issue dedicated to the historical, symbolic and institutional continuity of the Romanian Crown, will be launched by the State Mint on the occasion of the 160th anniversary of the accession to the throne of Prince Carol I.
The medal marks, through a distinctive artistic concept, the evolution of the Romanian monarchy from the founding of the modern state to the present day.
In a unified composition, the effigies of King Carol I, King Ferdinand I, King Carol II, King Michael I and Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Crown, are depicted, illustrating the continuity of a history spanning more than a century and a half, the Royal House underscored.
