Imagine din galeria Agerpres

Prime Minister-designate Adrian Ve¡tea said on Monday, after meeting Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) officials at the AUR headquarters, that he discussed a series of economic measures that the AUR representatives want and said that he is 'open to any request that can lead to a better governance.'

'We discussed a series of economic measures that the AUR representatives want. I assured them of my full availability for all aspects that are not in the government agenda and which, following the evaluations, will not create an economic impact and will be able to be supported by the Romanian budget moving forward, so that we can include them. In fact, I am open to any request that can lead to better governance, to the implementation of reforms or to finding solutions that Romanians have been waiting for a very long time,' Vestea said.

He added that he expects the lawmakers to cast their vote for the installation of the proposed government tonight.

'Tonight we will go for an inauguration vote and we will ask the lawmakers, who these days have been informed about the governing agenda, about the team of ministers that will be part of the future government, to cast their vote,' Vestea said.

Accompanying Vestea at the talks at the AUR headquarters were ministerial nominees Sorin Cimpeanu and Bogdan Ivan. AGERPRES (RO - editing by: Cornelia Dumitru; EN - writing by: Corneliu-Aurelian Colceriu)
