Ukrainian ballerina Ganna Muromtseva to perform in Swan Lake at the Palace Hall on February 2
Ballerina Ganna Muromtseva, principal soloist of the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre of Ukraine and a leading name with the Hungarian National Ballet, will perform in Romania for the first time in Swan Lake on 2 February.
According to a press release sent to AGERPRES, the artist will take to the stage of the Palace Hall in the leading dual role of Odette/Odile.
Her impressive career includes appearances on some of the world's most prestigious stages, in countries such as Japan, China, Germany and Italy. Trained at one of Eastern Europe's most renowned ballet schools, Ganna Muromtseva is admired for her elegance, dramatic strength and refined technical mastery, the source said.
Since 2022, she has been a member of the Hungarian National Ballet, where she has performed memorable roles in productions including Swan Lake, Don Quixote, The Nutcracker and 5 Tangos.
'Ganna Muromtseva will arrive in Bucharest for the performance of Swan Lake, a choreographic fairy tale and a symbol of Romantic ballet, which will come to life in the capital this winter. On 2 February, Swan Lake - the most moving ballet of all time - brings together the technique and virtuosity of the soloists of the Ukrainian Classical Ballet and Tchaikovsky's timeless music in a magnificent production on the stage of the Palace Hall,' the organisers said.
Swan Lake tells a story of love, destiny and sacrifice, in which Prince Siegfried falls in love with the beautiful Odette, a princess turned into a swan by an evil sorcerer. Their tragic tale is conveyed through movement, light and harmony, in a visual and musical spectacle featuring sumptuous costumes and spectacular sets.
