President Dan: We want NATO members to be able to participate in EU defence financing mechanisms

Romania wants NATO member states that are not members of the EU to participate in the European Union defence financing mechanisms, President Nicusor Dan said on Wednesday at a news conference after participating in a NATO summit.
Dan thanked the allied states participating in operations in Romania.
He said that NATO reaffirmed the transatlantic unity and the continuation of the American presence in Europe.
'I reaffirmed that the Black Sea region is important. In view of the Allied presence, we reaffirmed our commitment to investing in facilities to accommodate the NATO soldiers,' Dan also said. AGERPRES (RO - editing by: Gabriela Ionescu; EN - writing by: Corneliu-Aurelian Colceriu)
