Invictus Romania military to mark National Flag Day with ascent to Omu Peak
The military of the Invictus Romania team will mark National Flag Day on Thursday, 26 June, with an ascent of Omu Peak.
'We are celebrating National Flag Day on Omu Peak. (...) On Flag Day, the wounded soldiers from the Invictus Romania Team, together with over 500 participants from across the country, will climb one of Romania's highest mountain peaks: Omu Peak. Through this symbolic ascent, we honour the ultimate sacrifice of our heroes and carry forward the respect for national values and symbols,' reads a post on the Invictus Games Team Romania Facebook page.
At the summit of Omu Peak, a 100-metre-long tricolour flag will be unfurled.
'We will observe a moment of silence in honour of our heroes,' the organisers added.
