Eleven Malinois puppies born at Sibiu Police Canine Center, future K-9 partners in the making
Eleven Belgian Malinois puppies - potential future police dogs - were born on Wednesday at the Romanian Police Canine Center in Sibiu, the institution announced on its official Facebook page.
'Today, in the maternity ward of the Canine Center hospital, Hapa and Hun welcomed 11 Malinois puppies - 11 beginnings of life, 11 promises and, perhaps, 11 future hopeful partners for police officers. The breeding activity carried out at the Center is a strategic component in developing and strengthening the Police canine resource. Each generation results from rigorous selection based on health, temperament, balance, working instinct, adaptability and operational potential,' the message states.
According to the Center, the puppies come from carefully evaluated bloodlines and from dogs with validated skills for police work.
'For now, the 11 little Malinois have only one mission: to grow up healthy. The rest will come step by step - through education, socialization, selection and specialised training,' the Sibiu team added.
