European Businesswomen's Federation, National Union of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies sign strategic partnership

The European Businesswomen's Federation (PEFA) and the National Union of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies of Romania (UNSAR) have signed a strategic partnership to promote diversity, a culture of prevention and the development of leadership in the economic and social field.
According to a press release of PEFA sent to AGERPRES on Tuesday, the two organizations will carry out joint information campaigns, with an emphasis on financial education and prevention, and will develop projects dedicated to the business environment and entrepreneurs at the beginning of their journey. The initiative is part of the strategy of both parties to contribute to building a more inclusive, educated and resilient society in the face of current challenges.
'We are delighted to start this partnership with UNSAR, a key player in promoting responsibility and prevention in Romanian society. Together, we want to increase the level of financial education, but also to support women in taking on an active role in the economy. Together, we want to promote diversity and leadership. We believe in the power of long-term collaborations that bring real change,' said PEFA chairwoman Andreea Negru, quoted in the press release.
In her turn, Lorena Stoian, first vice president of PEFA, stated that the partnership with UNSAR 'comes at a time when it is essential to strengthen trust, information and prevention' and that the parties aim to be 'a common voice in support of inclusion and sustainable development, with an emphasis on female leadership and equal opportunities.'
'The partnership with PEFA reflects the commitment of UNSAR and the insurance industry to support diversity and leadership in the business environment. Through this collaboration, we want to actively contribute to the promotion of equal opportunities and the sustainable development of the financial and insurance sector. We strongly believe that entrepreneurship can play an essential role in building a more resilient and inclusive economy,' said Alexandru Ciuncan, chairman & CEO of UNSAR.
The PEFA-UNSAR partnership will include a series of dedicated actions, which will support the general public in understanding the importance of insurance and also in having a more efficient management of personal and professional risks.
The European Businesswomen's PEFA is an employers' organization, member of IMM (SMEs) Romania, the only national representative confederation for SMEs. PEFA promotes and supports gender equality, the role and importance of women in society and in the economy. The employer's association offers entrepreneurs a powerful platform to make their voices heard at the national level, in relation to central and local public authorities, as well as at the European level.
UNSAR - The National Union of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies of Romania is the representative association of the insurance industry. Insurance represents a key sector of the Romanian economy, contributing to its development. Insurers pay out claims of around EUR 6.5 million every calendar day.
