President Bolojan: Romania is keen to further strengthen bilateral relation with Canada

Imagine din galeria Agerpres

Acting president Ilie Bolojan congratulates Canadian PM Mark Carney on winning the parliamentary elections.

'Congratulations to Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on winning the elections! Romania looks forward to continuing the dynamic development of our bilateral relations and working together for a strong partnership in the fields of economy, energy, security and interpersonal relations,' Bolojan wrote on Tuesday on the X platform.

Prime minister Mark Carney achieved a historic victory in Canada on Tuesday, promising to triumph over the US in the trade war launched by Donald Trump and that he will never forget the American 'betrayal.'

However, the Liberals could fail to obtain a majority in Parliament and would therefore be forced to govern with the support of another party. The vote count is still underway in some regions. AGERPRES (RO - writing by: Florentina Peia, En - writing by: Cristina Zaharia)
