PM Ciuca: Chisinau shows greatest openness ever for Moldova - Romania relationship
Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca remarked today at the beginning of the joint meeting of the national governments of Romania and Moldova that this is the time of the "greatest openness" ever in bilateral relations.
"These favorable conditions allow us to build an intense and ambitious bilateral agenda. In 2020, in a year of crisis, Romania provided the Republic of Moldova official development assistance worth a record high 46.8 million euros, especially for Education, for scholarships," the Premier said.
He added that the joint meeting of the two national governments has a special symbolic significance, expressing his conviction that this will materialize in the signing of several agreements, protocols and memoranda.
"We have managed to honor a promise we made not long ago, that we will hold this joint government meeting as soon as possible. For the first time it takes place in Chisinau. It is an activity suffused with symbolic meaning and I am convinced that it will materialize in realities, in hard facts, through the initialling of agreements, protocols and memoranda at minister level," PM Ciuca said.
