Rich musical lineup for 2026: Metallica, Chris Isaak and Russell Crowe coming to Bucharest
The year 2026 brings to Romania numerous artists and bands from all musical genres, both domestic and international, with large-scale shows on major stages.
Confirmed names include Metallica, Iron Maiden, Deep Purple, Trooper, Bere Gratis, Chris Isaak, Eros Ramazzotti, Richard Clayderman, Arash, Mireille Mathieu, CC Catch, Thomas Anders, as well as actor Russell Crowe.
The season opens on 4 January at the Romanian National Opera with the New Year's Special Concert 'Vienna, La Belle Epoque', performed by the Symphactory Orchestra under the baton of Tiberiu Soare. Between 16 and 20 January, the show 'Notre-Dame de Paris' will premiere at Romexpo in six performances.
On 17 January, the Romanian Athenaeum hosts the 23rd edition of the Johann Strauss Festival, and on 2 February, the Ukrainian Classical Ballet presents 'Swan Lake' at Sala Palatului (Palace Hall) in Bucharest.
Mireille Mathieu returns on 22 February as part of her 60th anniversary tour, followed by Trooper's 'Regeneza' concert on 28 February, with Blaze Bayley as special guest.
Thomas Anders performs on 10 March, Richard Clayderman on 23 March, and Arash on 31 March, all at Sala Palatului. Lord of the Dance comes to Bucharest on 3 April as part of its 30th anniversary tour. Eros Ramazzotti performs at Laminor Arena on 22 April.
Cirque du Soleil presents the show OVO at BT Arena in Cluj-Napoca from 23 to 26 April. Metallica takes the stage at the National Arena on 13 May, while CC Catch and the band Joy perform at Sala Palatului the same day. Iron Maiden returns to the National Arena on 28 May with the anniversary tour 'Run For Your Lives'.
On 15 June, the Chinese National Opera presents Turandot at Sala Palatului with over 200 performers. Actor Russell Crowe will perform the musical project Indoor Garden Party on 4 July, also at Sala Palatului. Deep Purple will perform at BT Arena in Cluj-Napoca as part of the '=1 More Time Tour'.
