Narada and Deloitte roll out Romania's first AI assistant dedicated to behavioral education

Image

As part of the Safety You Can't See campaign, the Narada organization and Deloitte Technology Delivery Center this week launched Nari, Romania's first AI assistant dedicated to behavioral education - a form of education focused on the development of healthy behaviors, well-managed emotions and conscious decisions, through science-based micro-routines, a release informs.

'Integrated into the new website www.narada.ro, a modern digital space that supports children's education beyond school subjects, Nari was created by Narada and Deloitte Technology Delivery Center during a hackathon organized by the center and involving IT specialists. The winning team, led by Radu Radocea and Serdar Bagis, was responsible for creating the project,' the release states.

According to the cited source, Nari offers free of charge, practical support to children, parents and teachers in Romania, helping them develop essential life skills in a constantly changing world: resilience, emotional self-regulation and critical thinking. Also, Nari combines the rigor of scientific research with practical experience in the field.

Thus, after completing the technical development and the artificial intelligence component carried out by the Deloitte Technology Delivery Center team of experts, Nari was trained with valuable documents, based on: hundreds of international studies in the field of Social and Behaviour Change (SBC), hypotheses and routines validated through dozens of real educational interventions and conclusions drawn from Narada's own research, carried out in schools in Romania, which are the basis for the launch of the Safety You Can't See campaign.

Nari is a valuable resource because it takes on the role of a digital meta-skills trainer, offering not generic advice, but applicable micro-routines, scientifically thought out and explained simply; it processes the information and immediately responds with an exercise, a ritual, a daily routine, short, clear, effective, all based on data, the cited source states.

'We believe that true education is not just about subjects, but about how you learn to be human in the face of difficulties. Nari is our response to a deep need: to make science available to those who raise children. Nari is an AI created with both heart and mind. And together with the team of volunteers from the Deloitte Technology Delivery Center, we are convinced that the future can be written by people who choose to get involved,' says Bianca Apostu, Project and Technology Manager at the Narada organization.

'We are glad to have contributed to the development of Nari, a solution demonstrating how technology can transform education and bring real value to local communities. It was a project where collaboration with Narada worked excellently, and our consulting team brought a mix of skills that were crucial to the project's success. We are proud that their professionalism and diversity - through Nari - reach not only our clients but society as a whole,' remarked Andrei Ionescu, Director of Deloitte Technology Delivery Center.

Through the Safety You Can't See campaign, Narada aims to help 850 children develop skills of resilience in the face of difficulty by December, by implementing a series of short, 4-6 week interventions in schools, and to support another 1,500 by the end of the school year. In the long term, the campaign's goal is to implement these interventions in 17 schools, where over 8,500 students.

Narada has been active in the field of education since 2017 and was established out of the belief that change begins when we stop waiting for it 'to happen'. Since then, it has supported over 120,000 children and 500 schools in Romania, with projects born from the real emergencies and children's dreams.

Deloitte provides audit, tax and legal advisory, consulting, financial advisory and risk management services globally to approximately 90% of the companies in the Fortune Global 500 and that three thousand companies in the private sector.
