2D and 3D video projections on the Palace of Parliament facade - 'iMapp Bucharest - Winners League'
The Standing Bureau of the Chamber of Deputies approved on Monday a request from the Bucharest City Hall to organize an event in the second half of September featuring video projections on the facade of the Palace of Parliament.
The Bucharest City Hall, through CREART - the Center for Creation, Art and Tradition, will organize the 10th edition of the International Video Mapping Competition 'iMapp Bucharest - Winners League' on September 20-21 in the Constitution Square, featuring 2D and 3D video projections on the facade of the Palace of Parliament, according to the document submitted to the Standing Bureau.
CREART requested, among other things, the support of the Chamber of Deputies for allowing complex 2D and 3D image projections across the entire eastern facade (facing the Constitution Square) of the Palace of Parliament between September 15 and 21; turning off the exterior lighting from September 15 to 19, between 20:30hrs and 04:00hrs; turning off the exterior lighting on September 20 from 18:00hrs throughout the night for the actual staging of the 'iMapp Bucharest - Winners League' competition; and turning off the interior lighting on September 20 and 21 from 18:00hrs throughout the night, in areas with glass surfaces facing the Constitution Square, to allow for the 2D and 3D video mapping projections.
As in previous years, starting September 16, ten sound towers measuring 6 meters in height and 2 meters in width will be installed along the outer side of the fence surrounding the Palace of Parliament.
