PresidentialElections2025/Start vote in Romania in the second round of the presidential race
The nearly 19,000 polling stations organized at home, in Romania, opened on Sunday, at 7:00 am, with nearly 18 million voters expected to show up at the polls to choose their president from the two candidates remained in the final race.
According to the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP), the total number of voters registered on the permanent electoral lists is 17,988,218 citizens.
There are 18,979 polling stations organized throughout the country. Capital City Bucharest has 1,289 polling stations available.
Voting in the diaspora began on Friday, in the 965 stations.

The ballot boxes in the country close at 9:00 pm.
