The 19th edition of the Harmonia Cordis International Guitar Festival in Targu Mures, the biggest guitar festival in Europe, was graced on Sunday evening by two exceptional presences, Tommy Emmanuel, certified by the legendary Chet Atkins as one of the greatest fingerstyle guitar players in the world, and Alexandr Misko, considered a true revelation.
Australia's Tommy Emmanuel and Russia's Alexandr Misko concluded a six-day guitar marathon at the Harmonia Cordis International Guitar Festival, which brought together artists from 15 countries, including some of the biggest names on the international guitar scene.
"His fans are in love with his talent as a guitarist, with his ability to play three melodic lines at once, always with a pure heart and real soul. He's a true virtuoso. But he always seems as enchanted by the magic of music as the audience, if not more so, and his joy illuminates everything," Tommy Emmanuel is presented on the Harmonia Cordis website.
Alexandr Misko, a 26-year-old modern fingerstyle guitar player, was the 26-year-old who opened Tommy Emmanuel's concert on Sunday evening.
Joining Tommy Emmanuel and Alexandr Misko on the Harmonia Cordis stage were renowned flamenco and jazz artists such as Los Tres Mangificos: Jeronimo Maya, Rycardo Moreno, Pepe Fernandez (Spain/France), Cenk Erdogan Trio (Turkey), Lydie Fuerte & Juan-Manuel Cortes (France), Antal Pusztai Jazz Band (Austria/Romania), but also top representatives of classical music such as Marcin Dylla (Poland), Rovshan Mamedkuliev (Russia), Duo Bandini-Chiacchiaretta (Italy/Argentina), Duo Andras Csaki & Janos Balint (Hungary), Tritonus Guitar Trio (Hungary), Duo Mateusz Kowalski & Tomasz Radziszewski (Poland) and many others.AGERPRES(RO - author: Dorina Matis, editor: Irina Poenaru; EN - editor: Simona Iacob)
