Approximately 12,500 persons that were in the convoy that received the green light to cross Hungary, after they had been blocked in Austria, reached Romania through the Nadlac II Border Crossing Point, until Thursday morning, and around 180 have been quarantined.

The spokesperson for the Arad Border Police, Matei Filip Ionut, stated, for AGERPRES, that the 12,500 persons reached Romania with 4,600 vehicles.

"All this time, PTF Nadlac II signalled no incidents," said the quoted source.

Thursday morning, at Nadlac II several hundred persons were still waiting to enter Romania. The waiting time for transit procedures was 180 minutes, and the controls were done on eight lanes.

The spokesperson of the Arad Prefect's Office, Lucian Cozma, told AGERPRES that from Wednesday, 8:00 hrs, until Thursday, 6:00 hrs, around 125 persons were quarantined from the convoy, and approximately 7,300 went into home isolation.

In total, since the arrival of the first persons in the convoy, around 180 were placed into quarantine in their home counties, where they were escorted by police and gendarmes. Furthermore, approximately 10,000 are in home isolation, the difference up to 12,500, the number of persons in the convoy, being made up of foreign citizens in transit through Romania, especially citizens of the Republic of Moldova and Bulgaria, or who came from areas not affected by the new coronavirus.
