3 years since Hamas attack on Israel/Nicusor Dan: Romania opens its hospitals to children from Gaza
President Nicusor Dan sent a message, on Wednesday, three years since the attack carried out by the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas in Israel, with the head of state noting that Romania supports the Board of Peace and has opened its hospitals to children from Gaza.
''Three years ago, Hamas terrorists murdered some 1,200 people and took 251 hostages. Today I honour the victims and stand with their families and the people of Israel. There is no justification for such savagery, nor for the antisemitism that followed it. Peace in Gaza can only be built on the full disarmament of Hamas. Romania stands behind the Board of Peace and has opened its hospitals to children from Gaza. The fragile ceasefire must become a lasting settlement, one that gives Israelis security and Palestinians a state of their own,'' Nicusor Dan wrote on X.
