Turnover of market services provided to enterprises down 1.9% in first seven months
Market services provided mainly to enterprises recorded a decline in turnover in the first seven months of this year compared with 2025, both as gross series (-1.9%) and as series adjusted according to the number of working days and seasonality (-2.6%), according to the National Institute of Statistics (INS) data published on Friday.
Thus, between 1 January and 31 July 2026, as gross series, declines were reported in transport activities (-3.2%), other services provided mainly to enterprises (-2.4%) and IT and information technology services (-1.7%).
By contrast, increases were recorded in communications activities and film, video and television programme production; broadcasting and transmission (+3.5% each).
According to the quoted source, in the first seven months of this year, turnover from market services provided mainly to enterprises, as adjusted series, decreased by 2.6% compared with the same period in 2025.
The INS data show that in July this year compared with the same period last year, turnover from market services provided mainly to enterprises, as gross series, fell overall by 5.1%, as a result of declines in turnover from transport activities (-8.3%), other services provided mainly to enterprises (-7.1%) and IT and information technology services (-2.1%). Increases were recorded in communications activities (+6.5%) and film, video and television programme production; broadcasting and transmission (+5.8%).
As adjusted series, turnover from market services provided mainly to enterprises fell by 4.7% year on year.
Compared with June 2026, turnover from market services provided mainly to enterprises fell by 5.1% in July 2026, as gross series, due to declines in turnover from film, video and television programme production; broadcasting and transmission (-10.7%), other services provided mainly to enterprises (-8.4%), IT and information technology services (-3.0%) and transport activities (-1.7%). Communications activities increased by 2.5%.
