Romanian burn patient flown to Belgium under European cooperation mechanism

A C-27J Spartan aircraft of the Romanian Air Force, configured for medical missions, took off on Monday at around 09:35 from the 90th Air Transport Base Otopeni on a humanitarian medical mission for a burn patient on the route Otopeni - Craiova - Charleroi (Belgium) - Otopeni.

According to a statement by the National Defence Ministry, the mission was carried out following a request from the Emergency Management Department (DSU) and under European cooperation mechanisms.

Medical assistance and the necessary equipment during the flight were provided by a team of DSU specialists and Defence Ministry medical personnel. AGERPRES (RO - writing by: Mihai Stoica; EN - writing by: Simona Klodnischi)
