Bucharest to host AI & Big Data Conference - Regional AI Valley
The third edition of the AI & Big Data Conference - Regional AI Valley will be organised on March 6, in Bucharest, an event that will bring together over 70 international leaders in the fields of technology, finance, defence and public administration, and academia.
Organised by AmCham Romania, AmCham Moldova and AmCham Ukraine, together with ANIS Romania, ATIC Moldova and IT Ukraine Association, the conference aims to strengthen regional cooperation in the field of AI and Big Data and to contribute to the creation of a regional platform for cooperation in the field of AI on the eastern flank of the European Union.
At the opening of the conference, the official panel, which will have as guests, Deputy Prime Minister Oana Gheorghiu, Moldova's Minister of Economy and Digitalisation Eugen Osmochescu, and Governor of the National Bank of Moldova Anca Dragu, will address regional strategic cooperation in the field of AI, the economic impact of new technologies and alignment with European and transatlantic priorities.
International experts will take the main stage, including Louise Gunsjo (IBM Vice President & IBM Quantum Ambassador), Nadiia Vasylieva (MIT), Joe Weiss (Palo Alto UK), Fahed Bizzari (Bellamy Alden AI Consulting), along with professors Haim Levy (Ben-Gurion University) and Eugen Dimant (University of Pennsylvania), who will address the impact of artificial intelligence on decision-making , institutional adaptation and how the human-AI interface transforms economic and organisational structures.
The agenda continues with specialised parallel sessions, structured on three strategic pillars.
The AI in Policy & Defence session brings together government officials, representatives from regulators, the defence sector and the NATO Industrial Advisory Group (NIAG) ecosystem - alongside leaders from global companies such as Google, Cisco, Microsoft and Thales - to discuss artificial intelligence governance, dual-use innovation and strategic resilience.
The AI in Business session brings together leaders from global companies such as Google, IBM, UiPath, Amazon, Microsoft, Vodafone, Oracle and Adobe, along with founders and investors from the regional ecosystem, to analyse how artificial intelligence accelerates business growth, optimises operations and redefines business models in industry and commerce.
The AI in Finance session brings together leaders from banking, fintech and consulting - including representatives from maib (Moldova Agroindbank), Citi Institute, Visa, Deloitte, ING Romania, SAS and Cisco - to discuss how artificial intelligence and advanced data analytics are transforming financial security, decision-making, and the development of new products and services in the financial industry.
This edition, AI & Big Data Conference - Regional AI Valley is sought to strengthen Bucharest's positioning as a regional hub for strategic dialogue on artificial intelligence, digital security and data-driven economic transformation.
