Moldova is open for business, Moldovan PM said during meeting with representatives of Franco-Romanian business community
The Republic of Moldova is open for business and we have three priorities: to bring the country into the European Union, to develop the economy and attract investments, to better understand risks and manage them responsibly, said Moldovan Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, who met with representatives of the Franco-Romanian business community on Thursday, during a visit to Bucharest.
'I came together with my colleagues, because in business we work as a team - and we also work in the same spirit in the Moldovan Parliament. We have three priorities: to bring the Republic of Moldova into the European Union; to develop the economy and attract investments; to better understand risks and manage them responsibly. We are open for business. Come to the Republic of Moldova - a small country, but with great potential in many sectors. We are working to find ourselves together in the big house - the European Union,' said Alexandru Munteanu, according to a press release of the French Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Romania (CCIFER).
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova met on Thursday with representatives of the Franco-Romanian business community, during a meeting organised at the CCIFER headquarters, with the support of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Republic of Moldova (CCI France Moldavie).
The event was dedicated to investment opportunities in the Republic of Moldova and brought together members of the Franco-Romanian business community, representatives of CCIFER member companies, the French Embassy in Romania, Business France, as well as CCI France Moldavie and CCIFER.
During the meeting, Alexandru Munteanu presented the vision of the Government he leads regarding economic development and the consolidation of a stable and attractive investment climate.
For his part, Nicolas Richard, President of CCIFER, emphasised the importance of trilateral economic cooperation between France, Romania and the Republic of Moldova and appreciated the significant progress made by the Republic of Moldova in its European path.
'We welcome the progress made by your country on its European path - from obtaining candidate country status in June 2022 to recent reforms in the economic, energy and social fields. CCIFER remains a partner involved in strengthening economic and professional ties between the business communities in Romania, France and the Republic of Moldova, with the common objective of building together a competitive, stable and Europe-oriented region,' said Nicolas Richard.
Emmanuel Skoulios, President of CCI France Moldavie, also highlighted the Chamber's support in facilitating Franco-Moldovan cooperation and identifying new opportunities for French investors.
'We are glad that the Prime Minister of Moldova was at the origin of the establishment of CCI France Moldavie and that together we raised the need to expand the French economic presence in the Republic of Moldova. France is already the fourth investor in our country, and in the context of the European integration process and the support we receive from international partners, numerous cooperation opportunities are opening up. I am convinced that many of the French companies present here in Romania can count on the support of CCIFER, CCI France Moldova and the French business community to facilitate the expansion of investments and collaborations in the Republic of Moldova,' emphasised Emmanuel Skoulios.
