Cyber threats, digitalization and AI adoption are current challenges in the online environment (experts)
Cyber threats, the rapid evolution of technology, digitalization and the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) are elements that are part of the common current challenges for Internet users, is one of the conclusions of the experts present at the first edition of the Romanian Security Summit expo-conference, which is taking place these days at Romexpo.
In the view of specialists, Artificial Intelligence can have a domino effect in terms of risks, amid regulatory gaps.
'In the AI era, organizations face an ever-changing risk landscape, where rapid innovation, data-driven systems, and algorithmic decision-making increase exposure. Key risk drivers include model fairness, transparency and interpretability of AI systems, cyber threats, regulatory and compliance gaps, workforce disruption, and societal impact. To navigate these, companies must integrate risk assessment into AI strategy, build robust governance, foster trust and resilience, and align AI adoption with ethical, legal, and operational barriers,' said Stelian Arion, CEO of a security engineering and consulting company.
In turn, AI technology expert Mihai Stanciu states that, when it comes to video surveillance, image quality matters a lot, as do the most recent technological updates, given that 'a picture is worth a thousand words.'
Over 30 cybersecurity experts from international and regional markets are expected, between November 5-6, at the first edition of the Romanian Security Summit expo-conference, organized at the Romexpo Exhibition Center in Bucharest.
The event includes an extensive exhibition area, dedicated to presenting the most modern security solutions, specifically adapted to the Romanian and Eastern European markets.AGERPRES (RO - writing by: Daniel Badea, editing by: Andreea Marinescu; EN - writing by: Catalin Cristian Trandafir)
