Sustainable agriculture, development of sustainable infrastructure and smart cities, among themes of 30th event of 'Together we protect Romania'

The 30th event of the 'Together We Protect Romania' series, a conference organized under the theme 'Unlock the Future: Visionary Leaders. Bold Thinking. A Legacy of Impact. The best professionals for Romania's Sustainable Development', will take place on Tuesday at the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine.
The event is organized by the MediaUno Press Group, the Department for Sustainable Development, the National Institute of Statistics and the MediaUno Association.
'Sustainable development requires systemic change, and this cannot be achieved without leaders who: anticipate global risks, mobilize communities, the private sector and institutions, implement long-term policies. Economic progress, social inclusion through education and access to health, energy transition are just a few results of sustainable leadership, of the capacity of leaders to mobilize forces and factors of change,' the organizers emphasize in a statement.
Organizing the conference is an opportunity to show the importance of leadership at the Macro level, through sustainable public policies and by promoting strategic investment projects, and at the Micro level, in communities, through education and involvement.
Among the topics proposed for debate are: leadership models; implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the UN; policies for waste reduction and promotion of the circular economy; development of sustainable infrastructure and smart cities; the impact of climate change on the economy and agriculture; how banks can shape the sustainable development of society (the role of banks in redirecting capital to projects with a positive impact on the environment and society - examples of green financial products: internal efforts to reduce the carbon footprint; banking leadership as an active voice in defining sustainable economic policies at the national level); sustainable agriculture; transparent monitoring: digitalization; pilot projects; community feedback; EU elements vs. Romanian particularities.
The conference will also feature the launch of the 'Strategic Leaders Romania' yearbook, published by the MediaUno Press Group.
The event will be attended by leaders from public administration and representatives of public and private companies, as well as representatives of the press.AGERPRES (RO - writing by: Nicoleta Gherasi; EN - writing by: Catalin Cristian Trandafir)
