Government approves budget credits of 300 million RON following disaster at Praid Salt Mine
The government has approved budget credits worth 300 million lei to immediately intervene in support of Salrom, the underground companies that had tourist, recreational and treatment activities, provided as services in the sanatorium part of the Praid Salt Mine, announced on Monday Deputy Prime Minister Tanczos Barna, Minister of Finance.
The government held an extraordinary meeting on Monday to analyze the situation of the Praid Salt Mine.
'Today, at the extraordinary Government meeting, the issue of the Praid disaster was really addressed, a disaster, unfortunately historic. The Praid salt mine has never been flooded before and the exploitation activity has never been stopped without knowing when it will reopen. Today we approved an information memorandum. Minister Ivan (Bogdan Ivan, Minister of Economy, n.d.) will give all the technical details about what happened there and what are the measures that were taken both from an economic point of view in the case of Salrom, and to evaluate the situation at the level of other companies, enterprises, authorized individuals, family businesses in the Praid locality.
