Roberta Metsola, message after informal meeting with President-elect Nicusor Dan

European Parliament President Roberta Metsola posted a message on X platform on Wednesday night after the informal meeting she had on Wednesday evening with Romania's President-elect Nicusor Dan.

'Together in Bucharest. Together for Europe. Together for Romania,' Metsola wrote in English and Romanian, alongside a photograph of her and Nicusor Dan shaking hands.

The head of the European legislature began a two-day visit to Romania on Wednesday.

After the informal meeting on Wednesday evening with Nicusor Dan, on Thursday, Roberta Metsola will be paying a visit to Timisoara, at the invitation of Mayor Dominic Fritz to receive the 'Timisoara for European Values' Award.
