Romanian students win four medals at International Geography Olympiad
One gold, one silver and two bronze medals were won by Romanian students at the International Geography Olympiad in Ireland, according to the Education Ministry.

At the 20th edition of the International Geography Olympiad in Ireland, our team obtained the following results: David Mihai Dumitrescu, "Carol I" National College of Craiova, gold medal; Ian Mitocaru, National College of Iasi, silver medal; Tudor Olariu, "Costache Negruzzi" National College of Iasi, bronze medal; Iustin Balan, "Garabet Ibraileanu" National College of Iasi, bronze medal,'' the Facebook page of the Education Ministry points out on Saturday.
The Romanian team was led by teachers Mihaela Cornelia Fiscutean and Dorin Fiscutean, from the National College of Iasi.
Minister Ligia Deca congratulated the medal winners on their performance: ''Great news last night from David, Ian, Tudor and Iustin, the four students of the Romanian team participating in the International Geography Olympiad in Ireland! Four students, four medals! (...) Congratulations to all of them for their performance!," Ligia Deca wrote on Facebook.
