Romania's Dascalu finishes 10th in 2023 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup
Romanian cyclist Vlad Dascalu of Trek Factory finished in the tenth place in the cross-country Olympic race (XCO) at the 2023 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup held on Sunday in Leogang, Austria, where he managed his first top 10 finish this season.
Winning the race was Swiss Lars Forster - clocking in at 1:17.41. Dascalu arrived tenth, 1:35 behind the winner.
In the XCO short track race on Friday, Dascalu was 29th.
In the World Cup ranking, Dascalu is 21st, with 245 points. Frenchman Jordan Sarrou (580), Swiss Nino Schuerter (565) and German Luca Schwarzbauer (548) are on the first the places respectively.
In the U-23 XCO race, Romanian Patrick Pescaru finished 101st.
At the European Games in Poland, Vlad Dascalu, Roberto Dumitru Burta, Ede Karoly Molnar and Jozsef Attila Malnasi will represent Romania in the mountain bike competition, the cross-country Olympic event (XCO), scheduled for June 25.
