'Pasaje' International Film Festival returns for 4th edition
The beginning of September brings the fourth edition of the 'Pasaje' International Film Festival to Bistrita, with Florin Piersic Jr., Marius Bodochi, Gianina Carbunariu and Ada Milea among the guests.
The festival takes place from 2 to 6 September and is organised by the Bistrita City Hall and the 'George Cosbuc' Municipal Cultural Centre, in partnership with the Silver Screen Distribution, the Silver Screen Film School and the 'Dacia' Cultural Centre.
This year's programme includes 15 feature films - premieres, award-winning productions, art films and films for a wider audience, films for children and families, as well as creative documentaries -, three free outdoor screenings, Q&A sessions and film discussions with directors, actors and film industry professionals, international competitions for short films and student short films, virtual reality (VR) films, workshops for children and teenagers, exhibitions, concerts and performances, according to information posted on Tuesday on the Bistrita City Hall's social media page.
Guests at this year's edition include Florin Piersic Jr., Gianina Carbunariu, Marius Bodochi, Andreea Bortun, Vlad Petri, Andreiana Mihail, Laura Trocan, Dana Bunescu, Lina Vdovii and Ada Milea.
The events will mainly take place at the Municipal Cultural Centre and the 'Dacia' cinema, but audiences will also be invited to outdoor film screenings at the recently inaugurated amphitheatre at the Dogarilor Tower and in a car park on Lupeni Street, in the historic centre of the old medieval citadel.
The 'Pasaje' International Film Festival will also invite film lovers on 'a journey into Bistrita's recent history, with references to the urban and social transformations of the 1970s and 1980s, a period that played an important role in the city's development', bringing 'cinema, community memory and local heritage' into dialogue, according to the information provide by the Bistrita City Hall.
