Interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan announced the opening of the 100th nursery built nationwide under the government programme for the construction of nurseries. The project is funded by European funds and the state budget.

'We have reached the 100th nursery built and opened nationwide under the government programme for the construction of nurseries, funded by European funds and the state budget. The 100th nursery was opened in Cluj-Napoca and provides 110 new places for children. It is a modern facility built to high energy-efficiency standards, with spaces adapted to the needs of children and families,' Ilie Bolojan wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.

He added that another 10 nurseries would be opened in several cities over the coming weeks.

'Families in these communities will thus have access to modern early education services close to home. I thank the Ministry of Development and the local authorities for this partnership and for the nurseries built so far across the country. Every new nursery means support for young families and an investment in our children's future,' Bolojan said. AGERPRES (RO - writing by: Daniel Florea; EN - writing by: Adina Panaitescu)
