Night of Museums/Giurgiu County Museum to host AGERPRES photo archive, Bulgarian traditions in Dambovita County exhibitions
A photographic art exhibition created by historian Sorin Margarit in collaboration with the AGERPRES National News Agency is among the attractions offered by the Giurgiu County Museum on the occasion of the Night of Museums.
The public will also be able to visit an exhibition of Bulgarian cultural traditions from Baleni Sarbi, Dambovita County, another exhibition presenting dramatic historical images from Giurgiu during the Second World War and an open-air musical and artistic performance in Alei Park in the municipality.

Photographs of Giurgiu taken by Carol Pop de Szathmary, images of the destruction in the city of Giurgiu during the First World War, photographs featuring German soldiers from the Second World War, the municipal music band of Giurgiu from a century ago, photographs from the communist period, as well as contemporary photographs from the AGERPRES collection, will be available for the Giurgiu public to view as part of the exhibition dedicated to the city's visual memory and the evolution of photographic art.
In another hall of the Giurgiu museum, visitors will be able to admire the exhibition 'Bulgarian Ethnographic Heritage from Baleni-Sarbi (Dambovita),' organised in partnership with the Prahova County Museum of History and Archaeology and the Prahova County Council. The exhibition presents cultural traditions of the Bulgarian community in Dambovita.
At the same time, the exhibition 'Giurgiu Under Bombs - from the X-ray of a War 1941-1944' presents historical images from the Second World War period. The event was organised in partnership with the Toy Museum Association, the Museum of Aviation Archaeology and the Association for the Protection of Movable and Immovable Heritage.
Alongside the opening of these exhibitions, interested members of the public will also be able to attend a musical and artistic performance organised by the 'Ion Vinea' Cultural Centre and the 'Eugenia Popescu Judetz' Centre for Culture and Arts.
On this occasion, entry to all the exhibitions mentioned, as well as to the permanent exhibitions of the Giurgiu County Museum, will be free of charge.
