Over 120 producers and exhibitors to attend Bucharest Horticulture Days event
Over 120 producers and exhibitors will attend the 22nd edition of the Bucharest Horticulture Days event, which will take place from 7 to 10 May at the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest.
According to a press release sent to AGERPRES, visitors will have the opportunity to explore an impressive variety of horticultural products, including flowers, ornamental plants, planting material, as well as fruit, vegetables and specialist equipment.
The programme will also include themed exhibitions showcasing current trends in horticulture, practical demonstrations offering useful solutions for amateur and professional gardeners, and interactive workshops designed to turn the visit into an educational and recreational experience for the whole family.
A central feature of the event will be the workshops organised by Sector 1 City Hall. Visitors will discover examples of urban gardening, such as green balconies and mini gardens, ideas for reducing food waste and solutions for composting plant waste even in urban environments.
The events are open to the public, and the programme is built around the idea of practical learning: creating a green balcony, choosing plants that improve indoor air quality and adopting healthy eating habits.
Children will also be able to participate in dedicated activities where they can plant and learn how to care for plants in a demonstration mini greenhouse, before taking home the results of their work at the end.
The event is organised by the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest, through the Faculty of Horticulture, together with Bucharest Sector 1 City Hall, and each year brings together professionals, enthusiasts and nature lovers.
The Bucharest Horticulture Days are held under the High Patronage of Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown, and under the symbol of the Peony, officially declared the National Flower of Romania through Law no. 285 of 26 October 2022, published in Official Journal No. 1041 of 27 October 2022, at the initiative of the Faculty of Horticulture in Bucharest.
