The Cure, Twenty One Pilots, Teddy Swims, Wet Leg, at Electric Castle 2026
The Cure, Twenty One Pilots, Teddy Swims, Wet Leg and Kneecap are just some of the artists and bands set to perform at Electric Castle 2026, in Bontida, between 16 and 19 July.
'It is here and it looks fantastic: Electric Castle unveils the full line-up for the edition that will take place between 16 and 19 July on the Banffy Estate in Bontida. Headlined by the superstars The Cure, Twenty One Pilots and Teddy Swims, complemented by rock sensations Nothing But Thieves and LP, with an eclectic hip-hop selection including Yung Lean & Bladee, and top-tier electronic acts such as Mochakk, Chase & Status and Subtronics, the line-up blends established names with avant-garde artists redefining genres. All with a touch of Hollywood sparkle, through the presence of Keanu Reeves via Dogstar, in Bontida. Passes are available on electriccastle.ro at 169 euros plus fees (General Access), for a limited period,' the festival organisers said in a press release on Tuesday.
According to the quoted source, the presence of The Cure and Twenty One Pilots has already thrilled the entire Electric Castle community, and for good reason: it is a privilege to listen live, at a single festival edition, two bands already confirmed by music history and millions of fans worldwide.
The excitement rises further with the confirmation of Teddy Swims, appearing for the first time at the festival and in Romania: it is hard for anyone to have missed the 'Lose Control' phenomenon, the hit that propelled him to soul-pop stardom. Swims will bring to the festival's main stage the raw power and emotional intensity of his hits 'Bad Dreams,' 'The Door' and 'Hammer to the Heart.'
'Three names that say a great deal about what the main stage of the 12th EC edition will look like: Wet Leg, LP and Nothing But Thieves. From a viral single in 2021 to two Grammy Awards in 2023, Wet Leg have quickly become one of the most awarded names in British indie. Live, the band delivers hits such as 'Chaise Longue,' 'Wet Dream' and 'Ur Mum' in a format that combines post-punk effervescence, a feminist attitude and a euphoria perfect for festivals. They are joined by LP (Laura Pergolizzi), the unmistakable voice from New York, an artist and songwriter who has written songs for Rihanna and Christina Aguilera before the hit 'Lost on You' became a European phenomenon. Also part of this equation of major live shows is Nothing But Thieves, a band with chart-topping albums, billions of streams and concerts that resonate to the core,' the organisers added.
EC 2026 also brings to the line-up three of the most provocative names on the European scene: Yung Lean and Bladee, the Swedish visionaries who turned Scandinavian cloud rap from a niche phenomenon into a global cult, as well as Kneecap, the explosive hip-hop trio from Belfast that has reinvented political and cultural discourse through a mix of Irish language, rebellion and adrenaline.
Also with Irish roots, though in a completely different musical register, Maverick Sabre is preparing a show covering all his albums, including 'Lonely Are the Brave,' gold certified.
Carefully curated to cover all electronic music genres, the selection of artists in this area includes Mochakk, the tech-house sensation of the moment, Chase & Status, the 'veterans' of the drum and bass scene with hits such as 'Blind Faith' and 'End Credits,' sold in over 10 million copies, Kolsch and Deep Dish, the Grammy-winning duo returning after two decades to the progressive house stage.
