According to the Bucharest National Airports Corporation (CNAB), BIAS and the aviation exhibition will take place on Saturday and Sunday, August 30 and 31, 2025, at Bucharest Baneasa International Airport Aurel Vlaicu. The event brings together over 200 civil and military aircraft, in aerial displays and exhibited to the public, and also over 200 pilots and paratroopers.

Also, the spectators will be able to visit the General Aviation Exhibition during the two days.

'BIAS is an air force show, in which civil and military aviation aces from 12 nations (France, the U.S., Germany, Italy, Austria, Greece, Poland, Slovenia, Lithuania, Latvia, Jordan) will bedazzle spectators with breathtaking aerial acrobatics and elite demonstrations, as well as aircraft on the ground,' according to CNAB.

The AGERPRES National News Agency is among the media partners of the Bucharest International Air Show & General Aviation Exhibition. On this occasion, at Baneasa Airport, in Rotonda, special photos from the 14 editions of BIAS taken by AGERPRES are exhibited, to promote the event.

Celebrating 115 years since the first Romanian flight, the 15th edition of BIAS brings for the first time to Bucharest one of the most famous aerobatic formations in the world: Patrouille de France (French Air Force).

The Patrouille de France represents the French Air and Space Forces and is one of the most famous aerobatic teams, performing on 9 Alpha Jet aircraft that create a unique show of precision and elegance, a true aerial ballet in the colours of France.

The French Air Force team brings to Baneasa Airport its 9 exceptional pilots, each with the call sign 'Athos', the name of one of the characters in the book 'The Three Musketeers' by the writer Alexandre Dumas. Thus, Athos 1 - Leader: leads the formation and draws the line of flight; Ahtos 2 & Athos 3 - Inner Wingmen: maintain symmetry at the heart of the band; Athos 4 - Slot: flies in the most difficult position, right in the centre; Athos 5 & Athos 6 - Solo: perform spectacular manoeuvres in the mirror; Athos 7 & Athos 8 - Outer Wingmen: stabilise wide formations; Athos 9 - Replacement/Announcer: backup pilot and the voice that explains the demonstration.

In 2022, Emmanuel Macron became the first president of France to fly aboard a Patrouille de France plane.

At the air show in Bucharest, the Baltic Bees, the Latvian team with a unique piloting style in the world, will perform artistic manoeuvres of maximum difficulty.
