High diving: Constantin Popovici, second place at World Aquatics Championships after first day of competition
Romanian athlete Constantin Popovici is currently in second place in the 27-meter high diving event on Thursday, after the first day of competition at the 2025 World Aquatics Championships in Singapore.
Popovici, the 2023 world champion in this event at Fukuoka, scored a total of 216.50 points after the first two dives, trailing behind Spaniard Carlos Gimeno, who has 218.40 points. American James Lichtenstein ranks third with 212.80 points.
Catalin Preda ranks seventh with 178.25 points.
