Joe Satriani and Steve Vai's SatchVai Band to perform in Bucharest on July 23
Guitar virtuosos Joe Satriani and Steve Vai will perform with the SatchVai Band in Bucharest on July 23, at the Roman Arenas, as part of their Surfing with the Hydra 2025 Tour.
According to the Facebook page of the event, the SatchVai Band is a stellar lineup that also features powerhouse drummer Kenny Aronoff, renowned bassist Marco Mendoza, and guitar great Pete Thorn.
After almost 50 years of career, Joe Satriani and Steve Vai decided to found the Satchvai Band and embark on a European tour. Apart from the famous G3 concert tour, Satriani and Vai joined forces in the spring of 2024, when they played in several U.S. cities, and have now decided to take their partnership to the next level with their new band and hit the road with a string of European dates, the cited source specifies.
In March 2024 they released 'The Sea of Emotion, Part 1', their first collaborative track, with a second one due to follow within short. The joint history of the two musicians goes back to when Satriani was Vai's guitar tutor, and their relationship has since continuously evolved.
