PresidentialElection2025/Voting ends; George Simion, the AUR candidate, ranked first, according to exit polls

The polling stations organized for the first round of the presidential election closed on Sunday, at 9:00 p.m., Romania's time, both in the country and abroad, but voters who are in line at this time can exercise their constitutional right.
By 8:30 p.m., over 9.3 million voters had voted.
Voting can be extended by a maximum of three hours - until 11:59 p.m. at the latest - for voters who are at the polling station at 9:00 p.m., as well as for those who are in line outside the polling station to enter the premises.
