PresidentialElection2025/Voter turnout abroad as of 21:00hrs: about 973,000

As of 21:00hrs EEST on Sunday, over 973,000 voters voted abroad in the first round of the presidential election rerun, according to data provided in real time by the Standing Electoral Authority (AEP).
The turnout abroad was higher than in the first round of the 2024 presidential election, when 795,282 Romanian citizens voted as of the same hour.
Since the opening of the polls on Friday 07:00hrs, local, until Sunday, 21:00hrs EEST, 973,129 Romanian nationals turned out to vote, including 4,106 voters who voted by mail.
The highest turnouts were reported in Italy - 174.747, Germany - 163,548, the UK - 153,756, Spain - 119,198, Moldova - 90,851 and France - 51.521.
The data is presented in real time on the prezenta.roaep.ro website.
Voting abroad ended on Sunday 21:00hrs EEST.
